In my opinion, this is one of the most attractive glasses Cambridge ever produced. It is gorgeous and this one is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, dings, or repairs.  Measures approximately 9 inches tall and 3 11/16 inches wide at the rim.”

Elegant Glass - Libbey Nash Optic Crystal Red Threaded Centerpiece BowlThird on the list is this Libbey Nash Optic Crystal Red Threaded Centerpiece Bowl. It sold for $749.99. This is how the seller described this piece, “For your consideration is this rare, possibly one of a kind, Libbey Nash hand blown glass bowl. The red threading and optic effects are common on Libbey-Nash pieces, and many pieces are hand blown but this one is particularily large and shows the skill of the craftsman. Although I’ve had numerous center piece bowls from this maker and designer, all were solid clear glass pedestal bases, this one has a blown out and formed base and a Libbey acid stamp mark that includes a pseudo script ‘Crystal’ beneath the company logo. This piece, or anything of this shape and style, is not found or documented in Forseters Libbey Glass reference books extensive catalog reprints of the Nash era or in the few Libbey-Nash pieces seen in the Museum pieces or private collection photo cataloged in this reference book.

This is the first time that this piece has come to market since orginally purchased in the early 1990′s. It came from the home of a Libbey retiree a few miles outside of Toledo Ohio. Unfortunately, the former employee had passed and his wife could not recall specifics about how she came to own the piece but stated that her husband would bring developing concepts, production and over-run comission pieces home from work. I recall that the house was filled almost exclusively with Libbey and New England glass. The year after purchased, I was able to revisit the home in hopes of purchasing more quality Libbey only to find the home empty and boarded. Apparently, the mother had also passed and the family auctioned the contents soon afterwards.  Circa: 1932 – 1934″

Elegant Glass - Heisey Candelabras - Old WilliamsburgFinishing the top ten is the send set of Heisey Candelabras.  These are also in the Old Williamsburg pattern.  They sold for $400.00. The seller stated:”Here is a pair of Heisey’s most recognizable Candelabras – Old Williamsburg No. 301. These have the short bases with No. 342 Old Williamsburg epergnions. The epergnions are not smooth like a bowl but have elaborate panel sides…Frequently, the Old Williamsburg Candelabras fit loosely together and teeter to one side rather than straight up. This pair fit well together and has no slant to the center piece…On the base of the center arm piece is the classic Heisey trademark diamond H…These Old Williamsburg Candelabras are 14 inches high by 15 inches wide.
