According to the seller, these are extremely rare, “They were listed in Imperial records dated Jan.1 , 1943. The suggested retail list price in 1943 was $138.90 . That was alot of money in 1943 , another reason why they are so rare.”

This cobalt blue Cambridge vase with a sterling silver Swan Lake overlay sold for$2,175 after receiving 17 bids.

In the listing the seller stated, “a red footed comport or candy dish in the gorgeous etched pattern known as “Portia,” made by Cambridge Glass Co. from the 1930s-1950s. Cambridge called the color of this piece “Carmen,” and the Portia etching is encrusted with gold. Pieces in the Carmen color with gold etching are very hard to come by.”
