Fire-King Glassware is the brand name of heat resistant glass made by Anchor-Hocking from 1942 to the late 1970s. Fire-King is the brand name and it can be classified further by pattern and by color.
The Fire-King family of kitchenware includes Fire-King Oven Wear and Fire-King Restaurant Ware. There were also numerous Fire-King promotional and advertising items made throughout the years. Currently Fire-King (and especially Fire-King Mugs) are very popular collectibles.

Yes, I’ve been through a Fire-King stage. At one point I was being referred to as the local expert. Me! Ha! I merely had over 100 pieces in as many different designs as possible. I purged when we moved, but still use daily a couple of FK bowls and mugs. My jadeite is on display in the kitchen, around which my kitchen will be gradually themed. My milk glass is above the display cabinets…oh yes and my Soreno is also used daily. I still pick up the odd interesting pieces though. thanks for the remider – I might have to make an inventory of my FK, like I’ve done with my pink glass,
Thanks for your post – I linked to you from my blog and a similar post about Fire King Jadeite on eBay.
