The highest priced single item was this American Brilliant Period Signed Libbey Cut Crystal Platter. It received 1 bid and sold for the listing price of $999.99. THe seller gave the measurement as 12″ in diameter and stated it had very light interior scratches from use and five very small chips on the rim edges.

The second highest priced item in this category was this Cambridge Statuesque Nude Stem. It sold for $975.00. The seller stated, “This is a very rare Cambridge 3011 Statuesque nude stem table goblet with Smoke Crackle Bowl on a clear nude stem. In my opinion, this is one of the most attractive glasses Cambridge ever produced. It is gorgeous and this one is in mint condition with no chips, cracks, dings, or repairs. Measures approximately 9 inches tall and 3 11/16 inches wide at the rim.”

Third on the list is this Libbey Nash Optic Crystal Red Threaded Centerpiece Bowl. It sold for $749.99. This is how the seller described this piece, “For your consideration is this rare, possibly one of a kind, Libbey Nash hand blown glass bowl. The red threading and optic effects are common on Libbey-Nash pieces, and many pieces are hand blown but this one is particularily large and shows the skill of the craftsman. Although I’ve had numerous center piece bowls from this maker and designer, all were solid clear glass pedestal bases, this one has a blown out and formed base and a Libbey acid stamp mark that includes a pseudo script ‘Crystal’ beneath the company logo. This piece, or anything of this shape and style, is not found or documented in Forseters Libbey Glass reference books extensive catalog reprints of the Nash era or in the few Libbey-Nash pieces seen in the Museum pieces or private collection photo cataloged in this reference book.

This is the first time that this piece has come to market since orginally purchased in the early 1990′s. It came from the home of a Libbey retiree a few miles outside of Toledo Ohio. Unfortunately, the former employee had passed and his wife could not recall specifics about how she came to own the piece but stated that her husband would bring developing concepts, production and over-run comission pieces home from work. I recall that the house was filled almost exclusively with Libbey and New England glass. The year after purchased, I was able to revisit the home in hopes of purchasing more quality Libbey only to find the home empty and boarded. Apparently, the mother had also passed and the family auctioned the contents soon afterwards. Circa: 1932 – 1934″

Next on the list is the first of two Heisey Candelabra in the top ten. This one is a pair of Heisey Old Williamsburg (pattern # 301) Sahara Candelabra that sold for $599.99.

This 10″ Imperial Candlewick Vase was next. It received 8 bids and sold for $511.01. The seller stated it had a domed foot and plain top and that it was made between 1943 and 1951.

Next on the list is the companion piece to the top seller – a American Brilliant Period Signed Libbey Cut Crystal Pitcher. Offered by the same seller, this piece received three bids and sold for $499.99. The seller gave the measurements as 8 1/2″ tall and 6″ diameter at the base.

Next is one of two Canary Yellow Fostoria American pieces. This one is a Square Perfume Bottle. It sold for $455.99. The seller classified it as a “vaseline” piece, with item #217 and stated it glows under a black light.

The same seller sold this companion piece for $450.00. It is a Canary Yellow Fostoria American Handkerchief box with lid (#308). The measurements of this piece are 5 1/2″ X 4 1/2″ X 2 3/8″.

As the 9th highest priced single item sold, this Heisey Plantation Covered Candy Dish received 3 bids and sold for $431.01. The seller stated “This candy dish measures approximately 6 inches square and 5 inches tall to the top of the finial. ”

Finishing the top ten is the send set of Heisey Candelabras. These are also in the Old Williamsburg pattern. They sold for $400.00. The seller stated:”Here is a pair of Heisey’s most recognizable Candelabras – Old Williamsburg No. 301. These have the short bases with No. 342 Old Williamsburg epergnions. The epergnions are not smooth like a bowl but have elaborate panel sides…Frequently, the Old Williamsburg Candelabras fit loosely together and teeter to one side rather than straight up. This pair fit well together and has no slant to the center piece…On the base of the center arm piece is the classic Heisey trademark diamond H…These Old Williamsburg Candelabras are 14 inches high by 15 inches wide.

Here is the item information from the seller of the item: “The candle is Heisey’s No. 1445 shape, named “Grape Cluster 2-light” by collectors / researchers (Bredehoft). The candle was introduced in 1935 and has a striking Art Deco influenced design. The candle is very nicely cast with good definition to the stylized leaves, grape clusters, twig buds and candle cups. This form has become increasingly difficult to find in any color, but the two-tone color combination is quite a rare find. The stem and candle arms are beautifully executed in the desirable cobalt blue shade which shows rich color. The base is done in crystal and shows excellent clarity. The candle measures 9 3/8″ high, 8 ¼” wide at the candle cups and 5 ½” wide at the base. The base of the stems bears the embossed “Diamond H” Heisey mark.”
