Here are the highest priced single item sold in eBay’s 40s, 50s, 60s Glassware Category over the last 30 days.  There were several collections of multiple pieces that sold for very high prices – these are the single items only.

This 5″ Tea Seed Boscul Peanut Butter Glass was the highest priced single item sold in eBay’s 40s, 50s, 60s Glassware Category for the last 30 days.  It sold for $1,027.25 and received 18 bids.  (I believe this would be considered a Swanky Swig – but it was sold in the 40s, 50s, 60s category.

The next highest priced single item was this Anchor Glass Royal Ruby Owl Bank – the seller stated “This came from an Anchor employee that has been retired for 25 years.I was told this piece was never ran in production,they were only a few sample runs made.”  It sold for $489 after receiving 2 bids.

This Fire King Jadite Ball Pitcher sold for $355 and received 10 bids.

Next this Labeled L.G. Wright  Moon and Stars Ruby Lamp sold for a “Buy It Now” of $325.

This signed McKee 2 Cup white measuring cup with black dots sold for $305 and received 12 bids.

This Anchor Hocking Forest Green Bubble Two Tiered Tray received 19 bids and sold for $290.77.

This Fire King Stackable Dairy Queen “Live A Little” Coffee Mug sold for $271 after receiving 12 bids.

This Smith Brothers Art Glass Ribbed Vase with a Wisteria Design was the highest priced item sold in eBay’s 40s, 50s, 60s Glassware Category for the last 30 days.  It sold with a “Buy It Now” of $950.00.

This Jadite Flower Pot was the second highest priced selling single item in this category over the last month.  It sold for$610 after receiving 14 bids.   It is described by the seller as “A 5 3/8″ Signed Akro Agate Jadite/Jade Mexican Scene Flower Pot”.

The third highest priced single item was this Covered Royal Ruby Ribbed Vintage Water Jug.  It sold for $382.77 and received 17 bids.   (See Royal Ruby Glass)

This 1950s Floragold Louisa Ruffled Top Vase sold for $380 and received 13 bids.  The seller stated that ” Jeannette Glass Company made this vase from a 15 oz. iced tea tumbler by ruffling the top. 5 3/4″ tall, 3 1/8″ across the ruffles, 2 7/8″ square base”.

This Fire King Jadite Jadeite D-Handled PHILBE Coffee Mug was the 5th highest priced signle item. It sold for $360 after receiving 17 bids. The seller stated “vintage rare Fire King Philbe pattern Jadite D-Handled Coffee Mug. This mug measures 3 1/2″ tall, 4 1/4″ handle to edge and 3 1/4″ wide.”

Old Colony Depression Glass is one of the most popular Depression Glass Patterns.  It is also known as Lace Edge and Open Lace and was made from 1935 to 1938 by the Hocking Glass Company.  It is a large pattern and all of the pieces were made in pink.  There were some clear pieces made.

The glass lace edge on these pieces is very fragile and can be easily damaged – they have to be cared for and stored carefully.

Unlike most Depression Glass Patterns, the sherbet is one of the most valuable (and hard to find) pieces.  Other rarer and more valuable items are a 10 1/2″ 3 Legged Bowl,  Candlesticks, a 7″ vase and a 9″ Comport.

This Old Colony Sherbet sold in June 2008 on eBay for $108.50 after receiving 14 bids.

There were also a few items made in this pattern in Frosted Pink – generally these are not considered to be as valuable as the regular pink.
