Are you wondering What is Carnival Glass? It is one of the most popular vintage collectibles for people who love glassware. The shimmering effect in the glass came from metallic salts that were applied during the firing process (a process technically called “doping”).
Carnival Glass was first produced on a large scale by the newly-established Fenton Art Glass Company, of Williamstown, West Virginia, in 1908.

This rare Candlewick Decorated Beaded Foot Divided Candy Dish was the top selling item in the Elegant Glass Category on eBay in December 2007. It received 14 bids – the final selling price was $1,225.00.
Candlewick was made by The Imperial Glass Company from 1936 to 1984. It is one of the most popular (if not the most popular) Elegant Glass Patterns collected today.
According to the seller of this item, it was decorated and sold by Abels, Wasserberg & Co. and was made only from 1941 to 1943 – it was made with and without decoration and is considered very rare either way.
