This Pine with Snow Boscul peanut Butter Juice glass sold for a “Buy It Now” of $175.

This 1937 Kraft Black Tulip #1 received 7 bids and sold for $150.

This Vintage Swanky Swig Snack Plate Tin Lid sold for #122.50 after receiving 8 bids.

This 1934 White Lattice with Red Flowers Swanky Swig sold for $110.02 after receiving 9 bids.

Here are the highest priced single item sold in eBay’s 40s, 50s, 60s Glassware Category over the last 30 days.  There were several collections of multiple pieces that sold for very high prices – these are the single items only.

This 5″ Tea Seed Boscul Peanut Butter Glass was the highest priced single item sold in eBay’s 40s, 50s, 60s Glassware Category for the last 30 days.  It sold for $1,027.25 and received 18 bids.  (I believe this would be considered a Swanky Swig – but it was sold in the 40s, 50s, 60s category.

The next highest priced single item was this Anchor Glass Royal Ruby Owl Bank – the seller stated “This came from an Anchor employee that has been retired for 25 years.I was told this piece was never ran in production,they were only a few sample runs made.”  It sold for $489 after receiving 2 bids.

This Fire King Jadite Ball Pitcher sold for $355 and received 10 bids.

Next this Labeled L.G. Wright  Moon and Stars Ruby Lamp sold for a “Buy It Now” of $325.

This signed McKee 2 Cup white measuring cup with black dots sold for $305 and received 12 bids.

Things seem to have picked up a bit in the Swanky Swigs category on eBay the last month.  Here are the highest priced items sold in that category in July 2008.  Boscul glasses dominated the top sellers this month.

These 2 Boscul Peanut Butter Dogwood Swanky Swigs – the pink and the white were the 2 highest priced sold in July. They each sold separately with a “Buy It Now” of $79.99.

The 3rd highest priced was this 1940s Kraft Stromboli glass from Disney. It sold for $43.12 and received 5 bids.

This Hawaiian Themed glass sold for $41 and received 11 bids.

This Boscul Lime Green Sailboat Glass from 1936 – which the seller stated was the second one in the sailboat series sold for $38.50 after receiving 7 bids.

The next highest priced item was this Boscul 5″ Orchid Swanky Swig.  It sold for $33.50 and received 5 bids.

Wow, things have been really quite in the Swanky Swigs category on eBay the last month.  Many items went unsold – if you want to start or add to a collection, now looks like a really good time.

This 5 inch Blue Daisy Boscul Peanut Butter Glass (Has Michaelmas daisy written on the other side) sold in less than 12 hours with a $30 Buy It Now and was the highest priced item sold in the Swanky Swigs category in the last 30 days.

This set of 4 Kraft Circus Animal 7″ Glasses sold for $28 and received 11 bids.

This set of 9 3 1/2″ glasses with black tulips received one bid and sold for $25.

This pair of 2 3 1/2″ Glasses with Blue Sailboats received 15 bids and sold for $20.50.

This set of 5 Howdy Doody Glasses from 1953 fetched the highest price in eBay’s Swanky Swigs category in May 2008. The set originally contained Welch’s Grape Jelly and sold for $58.00 after receiving 14 bids.

This set of 6 vintage 5″ Wizard of Oz Swanky Swigs sold for $50 and received 24 bids. The seller indicated that this was not a complete set.

This vintage Wizard of Oz Jelly Swig was the highest priced single item, selling for $43.09 after 16 bids. The seller doesn’t indicate the date this may have been made, but it looks really old to me!
